Our outdoor sauna is built in-house in California with clear cedar, which allows it to withstand the elements. We use a premium Huum heater with a Wi-Fi connection to the Plunge App. We've also pre-wired the electrical box so that when it arrives, you can just plug it into an existing 220V outlet. I can’t say enough good things about the Plunge Sauna. Not only is it the best looking sauna on the market, it’s very easy to assemble, heats up rapidly, and the interface/control panel is simple to use. I absolutely love this thing and use it almost everyday.
I love the Plunge Sauna! Though I don't own one myself, I use one regularly and it's way better than any infrared sauna I've used over the years. What really makes it stand out is how hot it gets—it can reach up to 200 degrees, perfect for a 15-minute session right after a cold plunge. This makes for an incredibly effective hot/cold therapy session. Plus, it’s big enough for group sessions with friends.
All in all, the Plunge Sauna is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to amp up their wellness routine with some intense heat and social fun.

I generally agree with a previous reviewer. This is a good sauna, but could be better with a few tweaks.
The biggest issue I'm finding is the one highlighted previously: the benches on the top and bottom need to be wider. I understand they made them narrower in order to allow the benches to be folded. However, I think that's a rare use case and we would rarely if ever fold the benches. As it stands, these narrower benches are uncomfortable to lay stretched out on your back since one arm will hang off the side. There needs to be a mod kit sold separately to add 6-8" width on both benches or alternative wider benches that can be substituted for sale as an option. As it is, without wider benches, I would have to say that, unfortunately, as much as I am generally enjoying the sauna, if I had known how narrow these are I would have purchased a different sauna. I'm hoping that Plunge will do something to alleviate this issue. I'm sure there are many purchasers who have similar concerns.
Other issues: while the heater is pretty powerful there is, as others have described, a very wide temperature differential between sitting on the top bench near the heater, to laying down on the top bench, to sitting on the bottom bench, to laying down on the bottom bench, to foot temperature sitting on the bottom bench. I've measured all locations and temperature swings can be 30-60+ between these positions. E.g., if you have the sauna set at max 230 degrees the highest temp you'll ever reach…

I've had my XL sauna for about a month and use it nearly every day. Definitely what I was looking for.
Positives
* Heats up very fast - it gets to ~200 degrees from ~60 in about 20 minutes.
* Great aesthetic
* Nice interior cedar smell
Negatives
* There is a huge temp spread between the top bench and the bottom one. If you want to get hot you have to sit on the top bench.
* The top bench isn't very wide so anyone with any sort of shoulders (basically all men and most women) will not be able to lie down comfortably without crossing their arms. If your arms aren't crossed, an arm will dangle and your shoulder will be uncomfortable. This could be fixed with a wider top bench or a bench that pulls away from the wall 4-6 inches or so. I have laid a wooden backrest on that bench to give me some bench width for my shoulders but it isn't ideal.
I'm not sure how sturdy this unit will be over time but I like being able to lean back on the top bench, which doesn't look possible in cylinder sauna shapes .
